About This Role

Multi-client Carrier Sales placement. Acclaim is placing experienced carrier-sales talent into hunter-style W-2 roles across three distinct client environments — each with different lane and equipment focus. You will be matched to the environment whose freight base best fits your background and book. THE ROLE - Source and develop a base of motor carriers to cover committed loads - Work spot freight at margin while building consistent contract carrier relationships - Negotiate rates, secure capacity, and own the load lifecycle from booking through delivery - Partner with BD / account teams to keep service tight and carriers accountable - Solve problems in real time — detention, late pickups, equipment failures, weather CLIENT ENVIRONMENTS — placement is matched to your background - **General 3PL brokerage (Reno, NV area)** — Full truckload, LTL, flatbed, and specialized 3PL freight. Carrier need spans general dry van and high-value / specialized shipments. - **International freight forwarder with strong domestic ground (Richmond, VA area)** — Air/ocean/customs forwarder backed by a parent fleet, a 10,000+ partner network, and an overseas control tower. Carrier sales focus is the ground side: TL, LTL, intermodal, drayage. - **Produce-focused refrigerated TL specialist (Raleigh, NC area)** — Heavy Nogales / Mexico cross-border lane. Carrier sales focus is reefer capacity, perishable expertise, and produce-lane discipline. WHAT YOU BRING - 2+ years of carrier sales / capacity / freight-brokerage experience - Track record sourcing and onboarding NEW carriers (not just dispatching existing ones) - Lane knowledge in at least one of: produce / reefer, FTL / dry van, flatbed, intermodal, drayage, or domestic ground for international forwarders - Negotiation chops — comfortable closing rates under pressure - Self-sufficient prospecting across load boards, carrier networks, and direct outreach - Clean non-compete / non-solicit before start COMPENSATION W-2 base + commission on margin / load profitability.
