The role centers on FAK (Freight All Kinds) entries — roughly **200 entries per month** — but the company is open to candidates whose customs strength is paired with the ability to also support broader operations. The ideal hire combines clean compliance work with the operational instinct to keep international shipments moving without bottlenecks. ## What You'll Do - File ~200 FAK entries per month accurately and on time - Manage HTS classification, valuation, duty calculation, and entry submission via ACE - Maintain compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, and other partner government agency requirements as cargo type demands - Resolve customs holds, exams, and documentation issues directly with CBP and brokers' liaisons - Coordinate with overseas agents and shippers to pre-clear cargo where possible and avoid demurrage / detention - **Value-add:** support operations work when capacity allows — bookings, milestone updates, carrier coordination, shipper communication. Candidates who can flex between compliance and ops will stand out. ## What You Bring **Required:** - **Active U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB)** — non-negotiable - 3+ years filing entries at meaningful volume, ideally including FAK - Strong working knowledge of HTSUS, valuation rules, and CBP entry processes - Proficiency with ACE / ABI / a major customs software platform (CargoWise, Descartes, etc.) - Detail orientation under deadline pressure - Able to work on-site in Allen, TX **Helpful but not required:** - Experience filing for exempt scrap or other specialty commodity cargo - Familiarity with multimodal forwarding workflows (ocean + air) - PGA experience (FDA, USDA, EPA, TSCA, etc.) - Operations or pricing exposure ## Compensation - **Base salary: $90,000 – $110,000 (negotiable based on experience and entry volume capability)** - Benefits + on-site Allen, TX office setup - Career runway into senior compliance or broader operations leadership as the office scales
